Seven years ago tonight, I made one of the best decisions of my life —  to quit drinking alcohol.

Here’s the most surprising thing to most people about this:

I’m not an alcoholic, nor was I one at the time.

In fact, I wasn’t even considered a heavy drinker and can’t tell you the last time I had gotten drunk.

But I drank what was common for a man my age in the civilized paradigm, a few beers throughout the week and more on weekends.
Nothing crazy, but it added up.

Quitting drinking is and can be one of the most powerful choices you can make on your path to authenticity, full expression, and making presence your super power.
